So, today I'm going to discuss with you about the most important things that need to write a Romance novel. I know a lot of people are not know about how to write a best selling Romance novel. I hope this section will help you to write an amazing story and I writing this episode to help the budding authors in romance genre.
Today I will discuss about main points that you have been on your mind while writing a novel, especially the "Romance".
Before you start to write a book you want to understand what is a good book means and what you want to give your readers. I will give you some tips for understand what you want to do with your book.
These are some tips that will help you to build your idea as a good book:
1.Read a lots of romance book before you write a single word about romance. It will help you to understand what a romance
novel really means. This is not only for romance genre, you want to read books on a particular genre that you want to write.
2. Generate a good plot idea. Plot is most important part in writing. It is the logic interaction of the various thematic elements of a text which lead to a change of the original situation as presented at the outset or beginning of the narrative. You always carry a note pad wherever you go and put your ideas on it as like a single word. And then spent time with those ideas to make a outline of your story.
3. Decide your point of view, it signifies the way a story gets told. The first person narration and the third person narration are the two commonly adopted types by writers. You want to decide your point of view before you write your book.
4. Make sure that the chapters are interconnected. If the reader not get a connection in your chapters then they get bored and quite read. Make your chapters interesting and curious.
5. The beginning and the ending should be strong. If the beginning is simple and easy way, then your readers are never spent their time to read the entire story. They skip your book and not read more than one page. In the case of ending create a feel that your readers are read an amazing work and they want to hear satisfaction in your story.
Eg: The tragic ending and happy ending are most welcome endings are in romance writing.
6. Follow some prompt website like Tumber, Reddit and Ora. They will give you to build your story and help you in every parts of writing. And also part of some writing groups, they help you to improve your writing. Eg: Fan fiction group.
7. Offer some new ideas to readers. Avoid the incomprehensive languages. Always use simple and lucid language. Also avoid over ideas and cleashe.
8. Never edit while you write your script, it make your writing slow. First you finish your script and then rewrite it and edit again and again. Then you get the best version of the story. And if you are a self publisher then hire a professional editor.
9. In romance, the characters are more important than a plot. They hold the entire story in their hands. Make sure your main leads are interesting and give them a strong back story and back ground.
10. Your heroine should be strong, smart and good looking. Who are able to take her own decision in life. And the hero is handsome, intelligent and always support the heroines dreams. Always write positively.
11. Establish a writing rutaine. Decipline is most important in writing. If you started to write then completely devoted to writing. Don't use social media and fully concentrate your script. Early morning is my suggestion for writing, because in that time you have a fresh mind and there is no disturbance in your surrounding. Use a table for writing.
12. Convert your imagination from ordinary to extraordinary. Daily read a book, magazine, newspaper etc and learn a single new word everyday. Keep a diary and note the words, It will help you to build your sentences. And also picture the words while you writing a topic.
13. Classify thems: There are 3 type of classification in themes.
A) Love and beloginess
B) Lose of life
C) Shift the world's principle and values
14. Include your personal experience in your story. It will attract readers.
15. There are different types of subgenres in romance and you should find your own sub genre before decided to write. The sub genres are:
A)YA fiction
B) Erotic fiction
C) Paranormal fiction
D) Contemporary fiction
E) Historic fiction
16. There are 3 plot ideas:
A) Friends to lovers
B) Soulmates
C) Second chance to love
17. Names of characters are more important when you write a story. It should be interesting, it provide the idea of their personality. If you want to naming them a unique then search on google to find popular romance character names and get an idea for naming characters.
18. If you write about Anti-hero, then he should be strong and give him some qualities than make them special and unique. Never make him a victim, they are victors not victims.
19. If you want to write a story that reader like, then read Chethan Bhagat's books and he know what the readers really wants. Concentrate the books on your genres and read a lot before you stand for writing your own.
20. Only send sample chapters for readers and also check their back ground. There are lot of chance for cheating. Beware of the cheaters and give faith on the good people.
